STAY
20+ years. 70+ visits. One promise.
That is TCI's operating philosophy in two sentences.
We stay through the bad days. Through drought and El Niño and corn crops thinning and farmers borrowing money for seeds they may not be able to repay. Through the girl who drops out at 17 for child marriage and the one who stays and becomes the first in her indigenous village to graduate. Through the succession from founder to the next generation of mission-driven leaders who will carry this work forward with the same personal investment, the same moral seriousness, and the same refusal to make it institutional when it needs to stay intimate.
USAID leaves when the grant ends. World Vision scales to 14,000 families and measures reach. We stay in one village until the village no longer needs us — and then we move to the next one. That is not a program. That is a promise.
We don't measure our worth by what we've won. Only by whether we stayed.
