The Children's Initiative

History

History

Co-Founders Charlie Miller and Jeremy Hubball have been friends since high school. Sharing a commitment to education, a concern for the plight of children, and a history of community service, they founded The Children’s Initiative in 2005 as an international social service project to improve the health and education of children in resource-starved communities. Since that time, TCI has established major initiatives in Vietnam, Ethiopia, Honduras and, most recently, Haiti. In addition, the Board of Directors has been expanded, and a crucial set of partners and partner organizations have been enlisted to make an impact in our locations around the world.

By combining our complementary talents for business, teaching, and philanthropy, along with our fascination with diverse cultures, we maximize results by matching our resources with the very best local human capital. We serve as the catalyst and funding source to establish sustainable programs that enable impoverished children to reach their potential and lead healthy, productive lives.
